We are Breeder COOP of many different breeders who register and keep track of our lines with different registries (ACA, AKC, APRI, CKC, UKC) and supply registration papers differently to our Puppy Buyers. If papers (full or limited) are important to you, this is a question to ask your breeder in person, or before arranging a Meet & Greet. Some of our breeders require you submit proof of spay/neuter before sending limited registration paperwork, other breeders do not supply limited registration papers to buyers whatsoever.
We will not give papers out on your word that you won’t breed. Many people will say, ‘we just want them to know they are purebred’. Then a year later they are selling the babies online. In the past we have seen puppy buyers purchase pet-only puppies and were supplied with these dog’s limited registration paperwork. Only to breed them as adults and advertise the parent as “AKC registered”- by showing the Limited Registration paperwork to potential buyers, taking pictures of the limited registration and posting it in sales ads, or forthright making printed copies of this paperwork and distributing it to buyers. Many people are not versed from telling Limited Registration from Full Registration.
