How Does Reserving a Puppy Without a Deposit Work?

Before a new litter of puppies is listed on our website, people who have submitted their contact information regarding previous Litters and people who have joined our Litter Announcement List are contacted very first.

They are sent an Email and a Text Message announcing the litter details.

These people will have 5 days to submit a Schedule to Meet a Puppy from the particular litter when they are 8 weeks of age.

The New Litter will be made public for anyone to schedule after those 5 days have elapsed. All submissions received will be contacted back in the order of the date and time of submissions received.

All individuals will be contacted back by the Breeder to confirm the scheduled Meet and Greet. When the puppies are 5 weeks old, you will also be sent individual images of each available puppy, and you may state a preference for a particular puppy.

Your confirmed schedule and chosen preference is considered as good as a deposit on a puppy and the puppy will not be promised to anyone, unless you cancel the Meet and Greet or stop responding to the Breeder Weekly Video/Image Updates. In which case, we will move to the next person on the list, and contact them to confirm details. When a puppy is RESERVED, there will be 4 other contacts who are confirmed as BACK-UP families. If the first family drops out of the adoption, the puppy will be offered to the BACK-UP families in the order their applications were received.

This is how we manage our list without asking for (non-in-person) deposits from our prospective puppy owners.

*** All individuals who submit their information in the reservation form, will be contacted back by the Breeder to either discuss the opportunity of becoming a BACK-UP family for a puppy who becomes available due to a drop-out reservation, and/or getting preferred information to an upcoming litter.

REQUIREMENTS FOR RESERVATION

  • ***PUPPIES UNDER 8 WEEKS (SOFT RESERVATION SYSTEM)***
You must schedule a date to meet within 3 days of the puppy turning 8 weeks old.
  • If you need to pickup the puppy at a later date, the breeder will require you to schedule an in-person meeting within the 3-day time frame, and place a small cash deposit to reserve the puppy for a longer period. You can have a family member or close friend act as a Representative on your behalf if you cannot come to a meeting.
  • Only individuals on the PUPDATES list (for a period of at least 1 week) have the ability to reserve a puppy for 3 days with only a schedule date. Individuals who are new and have not been on the PUPDATES list, are not entitled to the same reservation system.
  • Puppies will be placed on a first come, first serve basis for those who are promoted outside the PUPDATES list.
  • Talk to your breeder about flexibility and video calls.
  • ***PUPPIES OVER 8 WEEKS (OPEN RESERVATION SYSTEM)***
    – Puppies will be placed on a first come, first serve basis for those who are promoted outside the PUPDATES list, i.e. publicly on the Puppies Page.
    – If your schedule is labeled as ‘Not Sure’ or ‘Not Very Likely’ to reserve or take home a puppy, the breeder can skip your schedule in favor of a family who is ‘Very Likely’ to reserve or take home.
