What is a Breeder Cooperative?

The cooperative was formed to serve Colorado Doodle breeders that share a common goal, improving the quality of the Doodles and better connecting with Existing and Prospective Owners. We make available to members online organizational, scheduling, communication and health tools.

What are some Misconceptions about a Breeder COOP?

  • We are NOT a pet shop, commercial breeder, pet broker, or pet dealership.
  • We are a group of Colorado Hobby Breeders sharing tools, information, and resources with one another.
  • We are NOT a breeding, transport, or boarding facility.
  • We raise 1-2 litters in our homes every year, with our entire families participating in the raising process!
  • We are NOT a PAID-FOR advertising or promotional service for breeders.
  • We are a breeder cooperative, organized and operated by volunteer breeders for the benefit of Breeders and Doodles who are bred and sold.
  • We do NOT charge breeders anything for using our resources.
  • 100% of the purchase goes directly to the individual Breeder (not the cooperative).
  • We do NOT allow inexperienced profit-driven backyard breeders into our cooperative.
  • Breeders must be pre-approved and follow our Standards defined in the FAQ & Code of Ethics to gain access to our cooperative tools.

  • * Our Breeders are not subject to PACFA or USDA regulations as they are Hobby Breeders.
